WearelookingforaProgramCoordinatorforourteeninternshipprogramwithaproventrackrecordin leading initiatives that inspire and motivate teens to become future leaders. Ed Inquiry’s Head of the ClassTeenLeadershipProgramoffershighschoolstudentstheopportunitytoearnwhiletheylearnby assistinginstructorsinourvirtualclassrooms.Thegoaloftheprogramistoprovidehighschoolstudents with work experience and exposure to the field of K-12 education as a future career possibility.

Furthermore,theTeenLeadershipprogramoffersmanyopportunitiesforteenstodevelopleadership skills outside of the classrooms assigned.

TheTeenLeadershipProgramCoordinatormustbeaself-starter,abletoleadthroughstudent-centric strategies, capable of inspiring teens to become lifelong learners and team players.

EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities

  • Supportapproximately50ormorehighlymotivatedteeninternstosucceedintheirroleasvirtual teaching assistants in Ed Inquiry’s virtual classroom.
  • Bewellversedinmulticulturalteamworkandbecomfortableworkingwithinaninclusiveand diverse virtual group of interns.
  • Managetheteeninternprocessfromrecruitmenttooff-boarding,includingobtainingrequired paperwork for employment (work permits) in order to ensure a smooth start of their summer placement.
  • Communicatewithstaffandinstructorstoensureclearunderstandingofhowtheinternsare performing and how to further support them for their success.
  • Planandleadorientationandweeklyworkshopstoprepareteenstofulfilltheirresponsibilities. This includes:
  • Providingleadershiptrainingandtools
  • CoordinatingwithinstructionalleaderstoensureTeensarealignedwithinstructional content.
  • CoordinatingwiththetechteamtoensureTeensaretrainedonanytechtoolsneededfor their job responsibilities.
  • Manageteens’schedulesandensuretimelysubmissionoftheirtimesheetsforpayroll processing.
  • OverseeweeklyTeenLeaders’meetings.
  • Abletobuildstrongrelationshipsandrapportwiththeteeninterns,inordertocreateapositive work experience.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor'sorMaster'sdegree
  • Experienceleadingyouth-servingprograms.
  • Abilityandcommitmenttobuildrelationshipswithyouthofdiverseethnicandsocio-economic backgrounds.
  • Experiencedesigningandimplementingsystemsandprocesses.
  • Goodcommunicationandinterpersonalskills.
  • Flexibleandadaptabletoafastchangingenvironment.

WorkingEnvironment

This position is a primarily virtual full time contract position with occasional in-person teen meetings held throughouttheyearintheMassachusettsarea.Therefore,wecanonlyconsiderapplicantswhoresidein New England, preferably in the greater Boston area.
