HIKINEX is Hiring an Ehs specialist Near Worcester, MA

Purpose : Servicing and supporting multiple facility locations in their needs under EHSS. You will have a strong focus on employee well-being and continuous improvement, which our client strives to be first in class in all their environmental, health, safety, and sustainability conditions.

You will help develop, implement, and drive standards to make EHS&S the norm across the company and ensure that we have the right training, skills, processes, materials, and information to consistently improve.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Aid all employees on-site with safety awareness and compliance.
  • Serve as point of contact for EHS&S issues.
  • Coordinate and execute new hire orientation and other training as needed.
  • Conduct safety meetings, training, and review for our employees.
  • Report all incidents and take part in root cause analysis.
  • Respond to on-site emergencies.
  • Prepare weekly reports and conduct audits on a routine basis.
  • Provide compliance assurance.
  • Work with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to conduct and review Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessments, and help implement risk reduction strategies.
  • Support special projects with EHS oversight.
  • Assess and find resources and equipment to support EHS&S goals.
  • Collect EHS&S performance data to build out an EHS&S dashboard.
  • Conduct EHS training as needed.
  • Participate in emergency response planning.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in EHS&S.
  • All other duties as assigned within your capabilities.

Qualifications, Educational Requirements, and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree EHS or related field preferred, or equivalent experience in EHS of minimum (4) four years required.
  • Excellent, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual to include Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, multi-task, and deliver quality work in an efficient manner required.
  • Demonstrated high personal interest, passion, and aptitude for environmental, health, and safety aspects of the company.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Bilingual a Plus Spanish and English
