HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking a full-time Material Distribution Handling Support 2 to perform warehouse quality assurance and administrative duties at their Fleet Sustainment Warehouse in Suffolk, VA. The ideal candidate will possess a great attitude, be hard working, reliable, and a team player. #LI-MJ1 *TL *MV
What You Will Do

• Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations.
• May lay out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment.
• Audit receipt/issue material transactions
• Operate a forklift, reach lift, and order picker
• Keep daily quality assurance records
• Work in ROMIS databases to query data and produce ad hoc reports
• Monitor inventory accuracy rate and report trends to Quality Manager
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks associated with material receipt/issue transactions.
• Perform combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data

What You Must Have

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Must have experience in warehouse logistics.
• Must have experience with data input.
• Must have experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklift, reach lift, order picker or related.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain Common Access Card (CAC).
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a confidential security clearance.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Bonus Points For Having!

• Quality assurance experience
• Experience with Realtime Outfitting Management Information System (ROMIS) database or related database system preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Excel, Word and Outlook desired

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift forty pounds, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes and work in high heat/cold environments, aboard ships, under industrial conditions, in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather. Ability to operate portable power tools. Work may involve climbing and working on ladders.
