Who we are

HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Contract Administrator to work out of our Virginia Beach, VA office.

The Contract Administrator provides the management and administration of a varied contracts portfolio. The individual will be responsible for cost/business volume proposal preparation, contract negotiations, oversight, and cradle-to-grave administration. The position entails working closely with the Government and Prime Contractor representatives supporting Department of Defense contracts. Individual will ensure timely and successful administration of all assigned contracts, assuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Individual must be proactive, detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet changing deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.
  • Conducts contract negotiation and contract administration.
  • Interfaces with both internal and external customers regarding contact activities.
  • Reviews requests for quotes for material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements ,and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparation and submission of bids to customers ensuring the bids meet all necessary requirements to include company policies, contractual requirements, laws and regulations.
  • Review invoices.
  • Preparation of contractual data for entry into Costpoint.
  • Review of contract financial data.

What you need to have:

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

Bonus points for:

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the Defense Industry.
  • Experience in either Accounting, Billing or Cost Accounting.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Proficient in Outlook.
  • Experience with Costpoint.
  • Detailed Oriented.
  • Knowledge of different Contract Types.
  • Experience in Customer Service.
