Highway Signing is Hiring a Skilled Laborer Near Council, IA
** ON THE JOB TRAINING **
- Setting up the work zone using the appropriate safety standards.
- Controlling traffic with temporary traffic signals, concrete barrier, steel barrier, message boards and much more.
- Breaking down and picking up the work zone upon completion of the operation.
- Operate equipment, including Forklifts, Skid Steer, Truck & Trailer combo.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Properly complete quantity sheets
- Pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Pass a pre-employment DOT physical.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
- Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Be able to work overtime when required.
- Must have strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Communication skills; Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Report to work at the designated start time.
- Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas.
