Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in business or school systems
Financial systems software experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills Microsoft Office Suite software experience
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in school district budgeting or accounting
Professional certification through WASBO
SUMMARY: The position of Grants & ASB Coordinator is responsible for the development and monitoring of district grants, and the Associated Student Body fund, to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal laws, policies, and procedures. This position directly supports the Controller and works closely with the Executive Director of Budget and the Senior Accountant to ensure accurate and timely claims and accounting processes. The Grants & ASB Coordinator recognizes problems; collaborates on solutions; oversees accurate claiming and reporting; follows through on assignments; promotes and maintains a team environment; works effectively with stakeholders both within and outside Highline; communicates clearly verbally and in writing; reads, interprets, and applies the law.
