Officiates assigned youth sports league. Maintains a safe environment for youth participation. Encourages safe behavior from spectators, coaches and participants by enforcing game rules. Promotes good sportsmanship. Works in conjunction with other HRCA staff members to resolve conflicts and provide customer service.
Supervision Received: Works under the supervision of the Sports Coordinator.

Examples of Duties: The following examples of duties are intended to be illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive.
Physical and Environmental Standards: Most work is performed indoors in a busy setting where noise and interruptions prevail. Must be able to frequently walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, reach and lift, push or pull. Manual dexterity is needed to type, write and use a scoreboard remote. The ability to talk and hear via the telephone and through face-to-face communication is needed. Vision requirements include near and far acuity. Upper body strength is a requisite to lift/move a maximum of 40 pounds unassisted and 60 pounds with assistance.
Must be a minimum of 15 years of age (16 preferred) for youth sports. Must have strong knowledge of rules for specific sport assigned to. Must show ability to maintain control of game situations. Must be dependable and reliable. Requires bending, pushing/pulling, lifting, stooping, kneeling and climbing to perform tasks normally associated with this position. Must pass a Drug and Background check upon conditional job offer.
