Highlands Baptist Learning Center is Hiring a Preschool Director Near Ocala, FL

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a calling to glorify God to join our team as Director. The Preschool Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and managing a team of educators. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for early childhood education.

Duties:
-Oversee processing of weekly billing for tuition and fees

-Accurately collect and reconcile check, ACH, and card transactions, as well as monthly subsidy payments

-Operate the school within the annual budget

-Make deposits to the bank in a timely manner during the week

-Create and maintain a staffing model and schedule

-Oversee the maintenance of children/staff/parents files, and prepare/deliver monthly documentation as needed.

-Ensure the highest levels of compliance with all governing bodies in preparation for site inspections

-Responsible for leading monthly fire drills and yearly emergency preparedness drills

-Oversee the monitoring of supplies and materials quantity for replenishment

-Responsible for any incidents that happen on school property, review video monitoring when required, and escalate to the Senior Pastor and HBC Learning Center Committee to take the best course of action for the safety of children, staff, and the school

-Responsible for scheduling and leading monthly staff meetings and managing morale-building programs for staff

-Organize and plan children’s educational and social programs

-Oversee the successful conversion of tours for prospective parents into enrollments including follow-up calls/emails/texts through registration and on-boarding

-Complete reviews of staff and complete parent/staff surveys annually

- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of education administration principles and practices
- Experience in strategic planning and curriculum development
- Budgeting skills to effectively manage financial resources
- Ability to educate children effectively while promoting their social-emotional development

Qualifications:

-A clear faith in Jesus and a commitment to teaching others about our Christian faith.

-Exhibit enthusiasm and energy towards children, staff and preschool. Strong verbal and written communicator

-Leads by example with a positive attitude and uses effective training methods for themselves and the staff.

-Minimum one-year of experience in an administrative role in childcare; with a demonstration of success running a busy, high-quality program.

-Ensure a safe and sanitary learning environment.

-Committed to ensuring day-to-day business operations: maintaining enrollment near maximum levels, ensuring accurate billing, record-keeping, and collections.

-The Director ensures compliance with governing bodies, staffing, maintenance needs, up-to-date class curriculum, and the handling of school tours.

-Able to have fun with teachers, parents, and students alike.

Requirements:

Fully credentialed/licensed facility director

-Experience as a preschool director

-Ability to lift 10-25lbs regularly

-Ability to respond to stressful situations in a calm manner, be initiative-taking, and lead to resolution.
