Security Guard
Department/Division: Security
Reports To: Director of Security
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Purpose for the Position:
To patrol club premises to maintain order, enforce rules and regulations, and insure observance of applicable laws.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Patrols lobbies, corridors, clubhouse, sales office, maintenance shop, entire development and member/guest rooms, confers with management, interviews member/guests and employees, and interrogates persons to detect infringements, investigates disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, etc.
2. Patrols member/guest areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and damaged or inoperative safety equipment.
3. Warns or ejects trouble makers and cautions careless persons.
4. Obtains assistance for accident victims and files accident reports.
5. Notifies staff of presence of persons with questionable reputations.
6. Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
7. Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
8. Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
9. Takes the initiative to greet member/guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
10. Inspects all parcels, handbags, boxes or other containers carried by employees to and from work.
11. Enforces all rules and regulations of club that govern employees.
12. Responds to emergency, fire alarms and break-in alarms.
13. Administers CPR and first aid, if necessary.
14. Patrols parking lots; prevents unauthorized vehicles and people from using parking lots.
15. Notes any deficiencies in club’s security measures.
16. Maintains accurate log of all security staff activities.
17. Conducts intermittent inspections of the clubhouse, grounds and all other club facilities and areas.
18. Ensures that all internal and external doors are locked according to club’s policies.
19. Familiar with emergency “911” notification procedures.
20. Monitors temperature in kitchen refrigerated storage areas.
21. Monitors energy controls in engineering areas.
22. Attends staff meetings.
23. Temperature checks if needed
24. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Security.
Education and Qualifications:
Valid Missouri driver’s license with clean driving record
Able to pass a National Background check and MO. Hwy Patrol Criminal background

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects
Ability to sit for prolong periods of time, with frequent walking, stooping, bending, and reaching
Ability to stand for brief periods of time
Environmental Conditions:
Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
