HIGHLAND PARK METHODIST CHURCH is Hiring a Part Time Production Coordinator Near Dallas, TX

Part-time Production Coordinator

The Production Coordinator provides production/technical support as needed for the HPUMC campus, worship, funerals, classes, events, and other technology needs. We have this position to ensure the quality of our worship services and events at HPUMC.

Reports To: Associate Director of Production

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Campus: Mockingbird

Working Hours: This is a part-time position that will work an anticipated 15 hours per week. 

Anticipated Schedule: Tuesday 5 – 8 pm;Friday 9 am – 4 pm (includes a 30 min unpaid lunch); Sunday 7 am – 1 pm 

Event support hours vary greatly and during certain times of the year additional hours may be necessary to meet the demands of the job. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Help install, integrate, maintain, and operate audiovisual technical equipment for the HPUMC campus as needed. 
  • Provide technical/production support for audiovisual equipment for HPUMC campus as needed with an emphasis on the kid’s area, Tolleson Family Activity Center, Confirmation space and class/meeting rooms.
  • Assist in assessing and coordinating technical/production needs for worship, classes, meetings, and funeral services, both in-person and online.
  • Help prepare worship venues for services and events, setting up equipment and tearing down and storing afterward.
  • Ensure safety in setup and operation of all equipment/configurations, and secure all rooms after events. 
  • Provide professional support of the HPUMC campus systems and events.
  • Assist with running the switcher or ProPresenter during worship services and events when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Desired Skills:

  • Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s degree in an area of production, lighting, or audio-visual; or equivalent experience. 
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, and the ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned and duties may be changed and modified at any time.

Language/Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical and general business materials; to write instructions, reports and correspondence; to effectively present information and instructions verbally and respond to questions from individuals and groups either with or without technical knowledge.
Other Skills and Abilities: Must have good interpersonal skills to deal with users, volunteers, co-workers and contractors. Strong organizational abilities required. 

Preferred Software Experience: 

  • Microsoft office suite
  • Google G- Suite
  • Adobe video and photo editing software
  • Toast DVD/Blu-Ray/CD authoring software
  • ProPresenter
  • Video editing software knowledge is a plus
