Highland Machinery Corp. is looking for a hardworking self-starter to join our team. This position of Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, sorting, handling, pick/pack operations, preparing and shipping product for customer delivery, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Duties

• Load and unload packages onto or from carts, pallets, and trucks.
• Lift and carry 30lb packages on a continuous basis
• Ensure order accuracy by reading labels and paperwork
• Inspect stock items for wear and defects prior to shipping
• Operate tools and Material Handling Equipment in performance of duties in a safe manner
• Maintain professional attitude when dealing with teammates
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times
• Assist in general warehouse upkeep
• Conduct inventory count
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic math & computer skills
• Strong communication skills (oral & written)
• Ability to understand and follow instruction
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment
• Ability to focus on detail-oriented tasks
• Ability to prioritize duties to meet daily goals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to stand, bend and lift for up to 8 hours a day
• Able to lift up to 70lbs unassisted
