Highland Electric Fleets is a comprehensive turnkey solutions provider that delivers electric school buses (EVSB) to school districts and third-party managed fleet providers (3PMs).

We offer a model involving financing, infrastructure, vehicle deployment, and maintenance in an easily digestible, economic format that enables EVSB acquisition at traditional diesel cost of ownership.

We aim to mitigate risk for our customers, increase EVSB market penetration, and deliver positive impacts across a broad spectrum of stakeholders: students, communities, school districts, fleet operators, manufacturers, and utilities.

The Marketing & Events Associate will play a critical role in coordinating Highland’s events and providing broad support for the marketing team.

This role is pivotal in managing and enhancing the customer experience, engaging our partners, and building a community of parents, students, and local advocates who champion the benefits of electric vehicle fleets.

This person will manage the production of live and virtual events and have extremely strong organizational skills with direct experience managing trade shows, corporate events and maintaining an event budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support for live event materials and manage event budgets
  • Manage logistics, coordinate with vendors, oversee production of event collateral, and manage event budgets.
  • Provide regular status updates on events to relevant stakeholders
  • Attend events, both live and virtual, ensuring they align with our business objectives and brand standards
  • Conduct pre- and post-event analytics to gauge success and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage campaign assets, timelines and other critical information in internal tracking systems and calendars
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently execute a variety of marketing tactics 
  • Become an expert and steward of Highland’s brand guidelines and help facilitate adherence with cross functional teams
  • Manage national speaking application program
  • Manage promotional items (ordering, inventory, and delivery)Assist with coordinating travel as needed
Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills exhibiting tact and diplomacy in establishing and maintaining cooperative, professional relationships with partners, cross-functional teams and public
  • Comfortable interfacing with executives 
  • 2 years’ experience in a marketing position (events background preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written including strong proofreading, and editing skills to compose social and business correspondence and invitations
  • Excellent project management skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Manage all on-site event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes Creative problem-solving skills
  • Extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree not required, but a plus
  • Excel required or other project management software a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
