**Parking Enforcement Attendant**

Location: New Orleans, LA
**Summary**The Parking Enforcement Attendant is responsible for monitoring parking meters, issuing citations, installing traffic signs and immobilizing vehicles, as well as reporting any and all serious infractions to the on-duty supervisor.
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
* Must be capable of sitting and standing in one location for long periods of time
* Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
* Effective command of the English language; excellent oral and written communication skills
* Physically able to walk several miles while at the same time operating portable radios, electronic ticket writers and/or immobilization devices
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must have a valid and unrestricted (not including corrective lens needs) U.S. Driver's license and must meet the Tulane University Motor Vehicle
* Meet policy criteria to become authorized as a driver
**Required Education and/or Experience:**
* High school diploma or equivalent
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Prior experience with issuing Traffic Citations
* Prior experience using Electronic Ticket Writers
* Prior experience using immobilization devices
* Experience operating radio communications devices
