Department InformationIndiana University's College of Arts and Sciences (The College) is the oldest degree granting school at IU Bloomington and has been at the center of the university's teaching and research mission since 1820. The College is comprised of more than 80 departments and programs spanning the arts and humanities, social sciences, and natural and mathematical sciences. The College also includes 3 professional schools: the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture Design, the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, and The Media School. Academic Advising in the College of Arts Sciences
We are a team of professional academic advisors and administrators dedicated to providing support and expert guidance to undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences, including the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture Design, the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, and The Media School. College advisors are typically located in the departments for which they advise and work closely with faculty and staff in those departments. Advisors also partner with the College's Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, the Walter Center for Career Achievement, and the College's Undergraduate Recruiting Office. We are part of a wider community of academic advisors on campus and beyond. Job SummaryThis open part-time academic advisor role will provide academic advising for a diverse community of students pursuing or considering undergraduate majors, minors or certificates in the College of Arts and Sciences.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
