Highbrow has a craft cannabis edibles kitchen that is growing and looking to add to our team. We are currently looking for production kitchen assistants experienced in the production of craft cannabis edibles.

What Will This Role Do?

Schedule: Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri (Full-time) 10 hour shifts

This position reports directly to the Head Chef and the Assistant Kitchen Manager. The production assistants will assist in the production, dosing, packaging, and labeling of cannabis edibles. As a production kitchen assistant, you have a passion for cannabis, an eye for detail, a background in a kitchen, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use specialized equipment to produce and accurately dose cannabis edibles correctly per severing
  • Follow detailed instructions while working with a group
  • Maintain and keep all equipment clean
  • Leave the kitchen clean and ready for production

Education and Requirements

  • Experience working in food production or in an industrial kitchen
  • Experience in a production related field
  • Must be 21 and be able to pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Highschool diploma
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to follow all appropriate safety standards in food production
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
  • Capable of standing in a stationary position for extended periods of time```Duties```
  • - Operate and monitor production equipment in a food processing environment- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and safety- Sanitize equipment and work areas to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination- Fabricate and package food products according to specifications- Adhere to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines- Perform basic math calculations for measuring ingredients and quantities- Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) protocols to ensure food safety- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals```Experience```
  • - Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
  • - Basic mechanical knowledge is a plusSkills:
  • - Knowledge of food processing techniques and equipment
  • - Ability to follow strict sanitation and safety protocols
  • - Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and accuracy
  • - Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and quantities
  • - Mechanical aptitude for operating and troubleshooting production equipment
  • - Familiarity with CGMP guidelines for maintaining product integrity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
