Highbridge Consulting LLC is Hiring a Senior Database Administrator Near Parsippany, NJ

Our client, a global leader in the hospitality industry is seeking to hire a Senior Database Administrator with AWS Cloud Experience to join their team at Parsippany, New Jersey(Hybrid) office on a contract to hire basis. Essential Job Functions:
The Sr. Database Administrator is responsible for the administration and operations of the database systems. This role is responsible for our database modernization strategy, database recovery and resiliency strategy, and overall cost optimization in AWS. Requirements:
  • MS/BS in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree in computer science preferred.
  • 12 years of working experience in various database technologies Relational DB (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, etc.), NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, etc.) supporting large, complex and mission critical OLTP and data warehouse environments.
  • 6 years of experience and expertise in advanced cloud managed databases such as Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Aurora MySQL, etc.
  • Experience in managing Oracle EBS systems preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and expertise in supporting and maintaining large, complex and mission critical OLTP and data warehouse environments.
  • Extensive expertise on Data Protection, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Security and Legal Compliance, Performance Tuning DBA best practices.
  • Expertise in driving the design, development, and operations of high-profile, mission-critical IT systems with a focus to optimize use of existing infrastructure and build scalable and efficient solutions using cutting edge technologies.
  • Advanced expertise in the use of AWS technologies and services like RDS, AWS Backup, S3, Athena, Kinesis, Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, AWS Auto Scaling, AWS SSO, EC2 Image Builder, DMS, KMS, Data Sync, AWS Cost Explorer, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Direct Connect, Secrets Manager, Guard Duty, Certificate Manager and efficient in setting up cross zone / region backups and restorations.
  • Experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is desired.
  • Provide guidelines to write, debug and tune SQL and PL/SQL, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, etc.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Key Skills:
  • Must have Oracle , RDS, Red Shift, SQL Server and Post Gres Experience
  • Must have AWS Cloud experience
  • 10 years exp in senior role
  • Must have strong communication skills and be a team player
  • knowledge in other databases is helpful
