Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation and logistics operations. This is a vital position that ensures the smooth flow of goods and services to our customers. Responsibilities: - Dispatch drivers and coordinate their routes using GPS and transportation management systems - Analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize routes and minimize delivery times - Monitor driver progress and provide updates to customers regarding delivery status - Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries - Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver logs, delivery confirmations, and customer feedback - Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure efficient coordination of freight movement - Utilize GIS software to map out routes and identify potential obstacles or delays - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a professional phone etiquette Requirements: - Previous experience in transportation management or logistics is preferred - Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) such as SyteLine or similar software - Strong analytical skills to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding route optimization - Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics operations - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Familiarity with GPS technology for tracking driver locations and monitoring progress We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
