Qualifications:
State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) – with a Senior HS endorsement in English.
EL endorsement required.
Bilingual preferred.
Demonstrates innovation and creativity while setting high expectations for students’ goals and outcomes.
Employs innovative instructional methods, and adjusts instructional strategies based on assessment, standards, and goals to meet each student’s learning needs
Academically prepared to teach courses in literature and composition.
Demonstrate educational planning, including setting short and long term goals and assessment of these goals.
Demonstrate an understanding of modifications and accommodations, and implementation in both a resource classroom and inclusion setting.
Commitment to working with an interdisciplinary approach.
Demonstrate a willingness to work cooperatively with other teachers in the division to develop common assessments and support existing programs.
Commitment to working with a coordinated curriculum that targets external assessment in the design and delivery of its content.
Demonstrate understanding of readiness to implement a digital curriculum (1:1 iPad instruction).
