    ASSIGNMENT: 10 Month - Temporary & Grant Funded Assignment Effective March 10, 2023 - June 2, 2023
    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This position involves close collaboration with district staff, students, parents, and community partners. This position's primary function is to help students prepare and affirm their career goals by seeking and facilitating career-related activities (e.g., career treks) and work-based learning experiences. The employee is expected to use discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment to navigate the department's day-to-day operations and respond appropriately to emergencies and crises as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Must have or obtain State and NCLB Approved Paraprofessional designation in accordance with requirements specified by the Illinois State Board of Education.
    2. Must have experience working with high school aged students, preferably in a career services position.
    3. Must move about the work environment frequently and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    4. Must be available to work an irregular schedule as necessary, including some evening events.
    5. Must demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills and communicate clearly and distinctly, both as part of a team or while working independently, with students, parents, staff, and outside organizations.
    6. Must project a positive image of the district to students, staff, parents/guardians and outside organizations, as well as exhibit a positive employee attitude.
    7. Must have a valid driver's license to travel to and work from community businesses and organizations.
    8. Must be able to effectively use technology related programs, such as Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, student information system, and other data management systems.
