    POSITION:
    Anticipated Master Scheduler (EGHS) 40 hrs/wk Effective July 1, 2024
    ASSIGNMENT: 12 Month, Grade 5
    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This is skilled work related to the operation of the district student information system and the master schedule. There is considerable contact with administration, staff, students, and parents. An employee in this position must possess communication skills and show initiative in performing duties and implementing new procedures and programs.
    An employee in this position works within clearly established systems and procedures, must exhibit organizational skills and exercise independent judgment and confidentiality in the performance of duties. The Master Scheduler must exhibit initiative and embrace a collaborative team approach to accomplish the mission of the district.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Must have physical ability to lift/move supplies, materials and office equipment up to 40 lbs.
    • Must sit at workstation for extended periods of time and/or move frequently from workstation to various other areas of building.
    • Must organize and prioritize workflow.
    • Must be proficient in the use of computers, office practices, procedures and office equipment.
    • Must project a positive image of the district to students, staff and parents as well as exhibit a positive employee attitude.
    • Must demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills, and communicate clearly and respectfully with students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public.
    • Must have awareness of a variety of student needs including physical and social emotional.
    • Must have knowledge of data processing procedures and related operations.
    • Must have mathematical/statistical ability to maintain detailed records.
    • Must have critical thinking skills in order to devise plans of action and assess those plans regularly.
    • Must have solution finding skills to be ready to solve problems when they arise and/or be ready to anticipate problems before they occur.
    POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
    1. Building and maintaining the master schedule by, but not limited to:
    a. preparing and participating in the overall planning and implementation of the master schedule
    b. maintaining and updating the system-specific rules and procedures required
    c. working with the appropriate staff members to stay current with the changes being made to the master course data
    d. manipulating data electronically and providing technical assistance to others, communicating technical/complex information both verbally and in writing
    e. performing multiple tasks concurrently and responding to class scheduling effectively
    f. maintaining up to date knowledge of the student information system
    g. establishing and maintaining cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility
    h. assisting in balancing the master schedule
    i. assisting staff in obtaining computer-generated reports related to scheduling
    2. Assisting in maintaining accurate student records.
    3. Assisting in coordinating student grading schedules.
    4. Assisting administrators by helping to compile data for county, state, and federal reports and by creating computer-generated reports.
    5. Assisting administration in grade submission verification.
    6. Assisting in balancing section rosters.
    7. Assisting in the registrar’s and APSS Admin Assistant's absences.
    8. Participating in appropriate professional development activities in order to enhance job performance.
    9. Cultivating and developing inclusive and equitable working relationships with staff, students, and community members.
