GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for High Steel Structures’ forecasting, budgeting and reporting, with a heavy emphasis on project accounting, requiring business partnering with the Project Management team. It is also responsible for the development and maintenance of proper accounting control procedures, designed to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and various tax regulations. The position will interact with all levels of SBU and upper management, assist and participate in decision making, provide consultation on financial and analytical information and advice across all aspects of the business involving financial matters (i.e., financial statements, operational and financial analysis/modeling, forecast/plans/budgets, etc.)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting or Finance. 7-10 years or more of progressive management accounting experience, part of which may be waived if employee has an advanced certification (CPA or CMA) and/or MBA. An advanced degree or certification is desirable. Experience and knowledge of advanced analytical methods, financial software applications & solutions (i.e., spreadsheets, databases & ERP systems), budgeting, planning, and forecasting experience is required. Experience and knowledge of percentage of completion/construction accounting preferred but not required. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Requires maturity and a high level of professionalism.
