New bar looking for experience bartenders. Must be able to prepare, mix, & serve drinks & beverages correctly either directly to customers or through serving staff.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers, present beverage menus, make recommendations, and answer related inquiries. Respond promptly to all guests promptly & professionally.
Check identifications for customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
Record drink orders accurately into POS system.
Process transactions, prepare checks, process customer payments.
Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with standard recipes
Peel, slice and pit fruit for garnish
Upsell drink & food items to customers.
Attempt to limit problems related to excessive drinking, by following established procedures
Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment, and working areas.
Comply with all health, safety & hygiene standards & policies.
Skills & Experience
Minimum age 21 years Basset Certification
Working knowledge of standard drink recipes, beer & wine.
Working knowledge of bar equipment.
Understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names & garnishment.
Education in mixology (preferred)
Numeracy & cash-handling skills
Able to work flexible schedules
Able to stand for long periods
Able to reach, bend, & lift up to 30 lbs.

Pay: $8.50 - $15.00 per hour
