BUDTENDER – Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Our budtenders need to be knowledgeable in all thing’s cannabis, take great care and pride in helping customers purchase the best products for their desired goals as well as confident and comfortable in educating patrons on products and dosing. We want you to be a tour guide for our customers, thoughtful, logical, passionate, hard-working, and skilled. Key job duties include:

· Accurate sales and POS system operations

· Customer care and service, always provide customers with a positive experience and exceed expectations by providing outstanding customer service.

· Product knowledge and the willingness for continuing cannabis education, recommend products that best fit customers’ needs while meeting business goals.

· Inventory management and auditing, ensure sales floor and back room are well stocked, and verify order deliveries for accuracy.

· Cash handling.

· Merchandising

· Store organization and cleanliness.

· Manage time efficiently and effectively.

· Assist in training newly hired budtenders.

· Regulatory compliance, ensure all activities, sales, transfers, transactions, etc. are in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.

· Communicate effectively with management and employees.

· Work with others to maintain a collaborative and positive work environment.

· Report employee issues or customer situations.

· Embrace and demonstrate alignment with company values and brand pillars - Quality, Living Soil, Transparency, and Innovation

· Inspire confidence and loyalty in the company brand.

· Make sales, recommending solutions and new products. Present daily deals and special promotions

· Provide any necessary support to the management team to ensure retail store operations including daily activities, maintenance, as well as customer information for any reported issues and/or customer complaints.

· Ability to follow SOP’s and complete tasks.

· Work may require prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching.

· Requires lifting up to 25 lbs.

· Must have a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division Employee Badge (https://sbg.colorado.gov/med-employee-license-application)

· Must be 21 years of age.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Customer service focused role

· Prefer Minimum of 1 year experience in Cannabis related field

JOB TYPES: Full-time, Part-time

PAY: $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience and location, plus tips
