Clinical Director of Community Based Recovery Services

Program & Location: Community Based Recovery Services, Plymouth
Education & Experience: Must have a master’s degree and be independently licensed; LICSW, LMHC, ect.Salary: Starting at $70,000 (Education, experience, & licensure dependent) 
Statues/Shift: Full Time / 8am - 4:30pm
Travel required with mileage reimbursement

About Us

High Point provides a range of community-based services including Community Based Recovery Support (CBRS). CBRS was created to provide additional support to people as they work on their recovery within their communities. Often, clients who have been in an addiction treatment or Section 35 facility and are transitioning back into their communities' benefit from extra support. 

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Clinical Director Requirements

  • Must present as courteous and professional at all times
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks 
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPHAO`s electronic medical records
  • Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner
  • An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs
  • An understanding of boundaries and ethics
  • Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations
  • TB screening
  • Certification in the HPHAO approved de-escalation program
  • CPR Certification

Clinical Director Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist Program Director in developing and implementing goals and objectives for the Community Support Program (CSP) and Community Support Program Justice-Involvement (CSP -JI) services.

  • Assist Program Director in the implementation and review of policies and procedures on a regular basis.

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with HPHAO’s written plans for quality assurance, utilization review/management and staff growth and development.

  • Provide supervision to CSP and CSP- JI staff and maintain supervisory notes and staff evaluations.

  • Provide direct service to CSP and CSP-JI clients, which will include but not limited to evaluations of clients, crisis management, case management and aftercare planning. Amount of direct service to be determined by Program Director.

  • Coordinate with other departments/facilities to enhance and ensure quality care.

  • Routinely review client charts (open and closed) to ensure that the structure and substance are in accordance with licensing and accreditation standards.

  • Advertising, interviewing, hiring and training of new staff.

  • Participate in RFR processes to maintain current programming and development of new programming as needed.

  • Ability to provide leadership and program development within a community-based regional program.

  • Ability to work with clients with justice involvement, substance use disorders, mental health disorders and co-occurring disorders.

  • Knowledge of major clinical therapeutic models and behavioral health best practices

  • Preparation of reports and correspondence in response to licensing and accreditation boards.

  • Collaborate and participate in meetings with other community organizations to enhance communication and service delivery within the community regarding CSP and CSP-JI services.

  • Manage timesheets, payroll, and time off requests.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Clinical Director Qualifications

  • Must have a master’s degree in psychology or related field and be independently licensed;

  • Must have two (2) years’ experience with justice involvement population. Clinical supervisory experienced preferred.
