High Point Mitsubishi is Hiring an Automotive Detailer Near High Point, NC

Job Responsibilities:

Maintains, inspecting and detailing vehicles. Automobile Detailer Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Typical duties Exterior: Detailing the exterior of a car begins with a thorough cleaning. Depending on whether the detailer is preparing a car recently arrived from the manufacturer or a used vehicle, he may drive through an automated car wash or wash the car by hand, using pressure hoses or towels to remove dirt and grime. Cleaning wheel wells involves pre-treating them to loosen dirt, and in some cases, they must scrape or brush them. Typically, detailers apply a protective agent to the tires after cleaning them that enhances their appearance. Detailers clean and polish exterior glass and chrome. They may hand wax the paint, apply a paint protector or apply a paint restorer, depending on the dealer’s policy or the package the private customer has purchased.
  • Typical Duties Interior: If the dealer just received a vehicle from the manufacturer, a basic vacuum of the upholstery and carpet may be all that's needed, but on used cars, the detailer must normally steam clean these surfaces. Detailers clean and polish interior glass along with plastic surfaces. Ashtrays, air vents, glove boxes and consoles receive the same attention. A deodorizing agent is applied to carpets and seats. Floor mats are thoroughly cleaned and dried before they're replaced. The detailer also vacuums the trunk compartment and cleans it.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area and an adequately stocked supply of detail materials.
  • Other duties as requested to be performed by department or store manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
