High Point Family Dentistry is Hiring a Dental Clinical Assistant Near Ridgeland, SC

High Point Family Dentistry is seeking a full time Dental Assistant to join our team! We are a privately owned, family oriented, one doctor office looking for the right assistant with a kind heart and positive attitude. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for dental care and a desire to contribute to the oral health of our patients. This 4-day work week opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others and patient interaction while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While experience will be prioritized, we are willing to train on the job the right candidate with prior experience in customer service. Team monthly production bonuses also can also be expected in addition to hourly wage.

Duties:
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare materials for impressions (digital) and restorations
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed

Preferred requirements:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, including sterilization techniques, instrument handling, and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Proficiency in taking digital x-rays and operating dental imaging equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 35 per week
