CBHI services provide individualized, intensive therapy and support to youth and their families. CBHI connects families struggling with mental health and substance use to community resources, enabling them to work towards self-sufficiency.
High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. In-Home Therapist Requirements
In-Home Therapy is a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship between a license-eligible clinician, the youth (under age 21) diagnosed with a Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED), and family. Interventions are designed to enhance and improve the family’s capacity to improve the youth’s functioning in the home and community and may prevent the need for the youth’s admission to an inpatient hospital, psychiatric residential treatment facility or other treatment setting.
In-Home Therapist Duties & Responsibilities
Engage youth and families in services
Compliance with Federal Regulations, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patients
Compliance with and working knowledge of all applicable HPTC policies and program procedures including but not limited to those relating to ethics/boundaries and duties of role
Maintain safety and security of client/staff at all times
Provide intensive family therapy with creative, individualized interventions
Ensure timely contact of Program Director/Authorities in event of a crisis/emergency
Attend all mandatory trainings, staff meetings, and supervision meetings as required
Collaborate with outside providers as indicated, often acting as leader of youth’s treatment team
Obtain insurance authorizations and requests for additional units in required time frame
Complete comprehensive assessment, CANS, service plans, crisis/safety plan, discharge/transition summaries, and progress notes according to regulation timelines and with excellent quality
Refer and link youth and families to appropriate services and levels of care
Other duties as assigned by Program Director/Designee

Working Conditions/Occupational Exposure
In-Home Therapy requires flexibility in work schedules to accommodate the needs of youth and families in the community. The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record (to be determined by HR), and access to a reliable vehicle. The candidate will primarily be delivering services off site, though there will always be a supervisor on-call to assist with concerns that arise.

We offer a full continuum of inpatient, outpatient, shelter, and residential care for children, adults, and adolescents. Our services include seven outpatient clinics, detox, clinical and transitional support services; Section 35 services, a youth stabilization program, permanent housing for individuals and families in recovery, residential recovery homes, an Opioid Treatment Program, Community Support Se...rvices (CSP), Childrens Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), and three family emergency homeless shelters in Taunton, New Bedford, and Fall River. High Point also has campuses in Brockton, New Bedford, and Plymouth. Clients, regardless of where and when they enter our system, are effortlessly referred for services- based on their need- throughout our continuum (or to an outside provider, if deemed appropriate) to assure quick access to continuity of care. Adults, children, and adolescents (in addition to their families) can therefore transition through every level of care without encountering barriers, thereby ensuring that both their needs are met.
