School Social Worker: EIECSE (Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education)
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 189 day contract (pro-rated for remainder of 2023-24 school year)
Location: Tri-County EIECSE
Salary Range: As established by bargaining agreement, 2023-24 Licensed Salary Schedule (based on experience and education).

Definition
The School Social Worker provides support/counseling to children and families enrolled in Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education programs. The School Social Worker may provide 1:1 service, small group social skills instruction, facilitate parent groups, and collaborate with other professionals on the IFSP team in meeting the diverse needs of students. The School Social Worker also provides formal behavior observations and develops behavior support plans, trains staff, and supports families in obtaining access to additional community services.
QualificationsMasters degree in social work, emphasis in school social work preferred but not required. At least two years of social work experience with young children and their families. The ability to perform significant reaching, bending, stooping, crouching and lifting 50 pounds is expected. Must have access to reliable transportation, and consistent attendance is required. Applicants must have successful experience in working with culturally diverse families and communities, and/or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to equity and strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with a diverse population.
