Qualifications

  • Must be self-motivated, positive, and organized individual
  • Must possess proven sales and negotiation skills with the ability to read, write, and give oral presentations within and outside of the company
  • Must have a high level of ability to interpret system design, blueprints, and other project documents
  • Must be able to travel within the territory as needed
  • Must be able to teach and coach others within the company
  • Must align with the company core values and be able to portray these values daily and teach others how to incorporate them into their job roles.
  • Must have 5 years of sales experience
  • Must have 2 years of commercial low voltage or AV experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Must be familiar and able to effectively utilize CRM software and follow up tools
  • Must have demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate customers' needs
  • Must have demonstrated ability to maintain and build customer relationships

Core Responsibilities

  • The AV Salesperson shall excel in communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creating comprehensive proposal responses and conducting sales presentations
  • Continuously expand technical knowledge and certifications in the field
  • Understand job costing, margins, and project financials
  • Excel in customer communications, follow up, and client interactions
  • Obtain competitive intelligence to further refine bidding strategies
  • Ability to utilize bidding platforms to submit bid, issue RFIs, and communicate with clients prior to submittal
  • Develop working relationships with direct clients, General Contractors, and other customers
  • Attend Quarterly and Annual planning meetings with input from the field that will enable great development of the company mission

Daily Job Duties

  • Work with marketing to develop additional opportunities, customer relationships, demo product, and generate sales
  • Cold call follow-up with open leads
  • Review incoming bid opportunities and run through Bid/No Bid process
  • Input all dates for approved bids into CRM or proposal software to ensure all proposal deadlines are met
  • Schedule site visits for all direct client reach outs within 24 hours when possible
  • Travel to and attend site walks for upcoming bids
  • Write up formal responses for RFPs
  • Follow up diligently until project is lost or under contract
  • Provide client with all requirements for PO or signed contract, upload signed contract or PO to Jetbuilt and ensure proper billing contact is added as well
  • Attend Pre-Installation meetings as needed during turnover
  • Work with Engineer, Estimator, PM, and Programmer throughout installation process as needed to ensure project matches design intent
  • Follow up with clients post project to receive feedback and offer additional services
  • Ongoing process development and scheduling for all tasks listed here
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with HCLV Core Values

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
