Here at Higgins Powersports in Barre, MA, we searching for a hard-working Powersports Service Advisor to join our team of service professionals and enhance the department’s current operations.

As the Service Advisor, you will act as the main point of contact for all service customers and be responsible for communicating all appointments and updates to customers throughout their service experience.

You will also be leading a team of highly experienced, qualified technicians who repair and perform maintenance service on all types of powersports vehicles and equipment.

Excellent customer service and communication skills are required. Note that this is NOT a service technician position.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Job Type: Full-time

Starting Date: ASAP

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturdays required

Compensation: Starting at $25.00 and can increase based on amount prior experience, plus bonuses

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Communicate with all service customers to understand their concerns, diagnose vehicle problems, and provide a prompt, no hassle experience to all customers
• Build relationships with customers to keep them coming back for future service needs
• Schedule service appointments for customers and assign jobs to service technicians
• Recommend products and services that will keep the customers safe and their machines performing optimally
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding their job status to ensure their service needs are completed as promised and on time
• Lead the service technician team by scheduling and assigning jobs to technicians, hosting team meetings, and managing service department operations
• Oversee the operations of the service warehouse and service bay to ensure the area remains clean, stocked, and organized
• Perform basic service tasks and seasonal projects as needed, such as moving machines in showroom and preparing customer machines for seasonal storage
• Process warranty claims for repairs and service on customer machines by adhering to manufacturer guidelines for warranties
• Work hand in hand with sales and parts departments to provide an excellent customer experience from their initial purchase to all future parts and service needs

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Highly detail oriented and organized
• Computer literate with the ability to learn new software and computer programs
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be able to work retail hours and Saturdays
• Hospitality and customer-first attitude towards our valued customers

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 1 years of relevant service/technical experience and/or service writing experience (preferred)
• Valid MA Driver’s License (Valid MA Motorcycle License also preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED required
