Higa Bariatrics is a general and bariatric surgery practice in Tucson, Az that is rapidly growing. We are in need of a full-time Medical Coder/Biller.

Job Details:

• Assigns ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) procedure and service level codes to Higa Bariatrics patient encounters. Reviews medical record documentation to ensure proper coding and billing of physician and non-physician patient services.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) in addition to Bariatric and General surgery terminology. Must have assertive communication skills, computer skills.
• CPC (Certified Professional Coding) certification through the AAPC or AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist.
• Work requires advanced interpersonal skills to exchange information between team members and physicians and tactfully discuss past due accounts with patients.

Someone who is fluent in Spanish is highly sought out however, is not a deal breaker.
