Position Title: Equipment Manager

Department: Golf Course Maintenance

Reports To: Director of Land and Environmental Management and Golf Course Superintendent

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Essential Functions

Ensures the smooth operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment essential for the upkeep of the golf course and landscaping.

Job Tasks (Duties)

· Maintain and repair all equipment such as mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, golf carts, etc.

· Regularly inspect, service and troubleshoot to ensure optimal working conditions

· Manage inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment – track stock levels, place new orders

· Organize storage areas efficiently

· Maintain repair records on all equipment

· Work within budget to effectively manage expenses – implement strategies to minimize cost

· Trains operators in use and care of equipment using safety protocols and best practices

· Conduct regular quality control checks and promptly address issues

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to prevent accident and injuries in the workplace – includes safety training sessions, implementing safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment for all staff

· Maintains safety records

· Other assignments as may be necessary

• Qualifications

Proficiency in operating and maintaining golf course maintenance equipment.

• Experience

3-5 years of experience in a maintenance role in golf course maintenance.

• Working Conditions

The position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
