Hidden Creek is an award-winning Design/Build, Pool, and Landscaping firm serving premier clients throughout central Ohio. This is a fully on-site role.

Typical hours of operation are 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Internship Components:

Orientation and Training:

  • Introduction to Hidden Creek’s vision, operational principles, core values, and company culture.
  • Gain an understanding of the company's long-term goals and guiding principles that shape decision-making and operations.
  • Training in software and tools used within the organization.
  • Acquire knowledge about the various departments and functions within Hidden Creek to appreciate how they contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Engagement and Exposure:

  • Participate in departmental meetings to observe and understand the workflows, challenges, and successes of different teams within the organization.
  • Shadow team members from different departments to gain insight into their roles, responsibilities, and day-to-day activities, fostering a holistic understanding of the business operations.

Professional Development:

  • Take initiative to further explore design principles, landscaping techniques, and business operations through self-directed learning and mentorship opportunities within the company.

Final Presentation:

  • Each intern will prepare a final presentation highlighting their experiences, learnings, and contributions during the internship. Reflect on the internship journey, challenges overcome, and personal growth achieved, regardless of the specific department or role. Share insights into how the internship has contributed to their professional development and future aspirations.

Available Positions:

We are currently seeking interns for a variety of roles, including but not limited to:

  • Marketing Intern: Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies, content creation, social media management, and market research.
  • Sales Intern: Learn about sales techniques, assist in lead generation, and support the sales team in achieving targets.
  • Design Intern: Collaborate in the creation of captivating landscape and pool designs. Assist in project coordination and cross-team communication. Learn from experienced designers and contribute creatively to our projects.
  • Operations Intern: Gain exposure to various operational processes, streamline workflows, and contribute to efficiency improvements.
  • Finance Intern: Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and other accounting tasks.
  • Human Resources Intern: Gain experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, event coordination, and HR administration.
  • Production Intern: Work alongside our production team to learn about landscape maintenance, design-build, pool construction, or pool service. Gain hands-on experience in project planning, execution, and quality control. Learn from experienced professionals and contribute to enhancing outdoor spaces for our clients.

Experience Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to the internship field (e.g., landscape architecture, business administration, environmental science, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools (specific requirements may vary by position).
  • Eagerness to learn and a passion for the industry.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Intern will work in both an office and field environment; travel from site to site; exposure to computer screens.
  • Intern will be required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time; operate motorized vehicles.
  • Intern will regularly be required to see in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and regularly required to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

Duration and Compensation:

  • This is a 1-year internship position.
  • Compensation: $18/hr
