SCOPE:
Job includes various general maintenance assignments: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, painting, installing appliances, loading and unloading equipment/material, and preventative maintenance.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job duties include various general maintenance assignments: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, painting, installing appliances, loading and unloading equipment/material, and preventative maintenance. · Maintain proper conditions for all tools, equipment and supplies · General construction repairs including repairing doors, etc. · Painting interior and exterior structures · Installing new subfloors, vinyl and ceramic tiles · Interior and exterior repairs as well as any other repairs or cleaning as needed · Hanging and finishing sheetrock · Building items (e.g. counters, walls, etc.) · Coordinating with assigned lead and/or supervisor and other employees for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently · Completing projects within established time frames · Processing written materials (e.g. work orders, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information · Repairing a variety of equipment, systems, and/or structural items · Requesting equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring availability of items required to complete the assigned task · Building installing and maintaining floors and floor coverings, doors, windows, ceilings, and walls · Removing cabinets and installing new cabinets · Completing total renovations of commercial spaces · Maintaining a professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with vendors and coworkers · Help maintain a clean and well-organized work area · Plumbing and electrical experience preferred but not required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
5 recent years of hands-on experience in remodeling
Experience using hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, sanders, saws, and nail guns
Proficient in the areas of drywall installation, taping, painting, plumbing and light electrical
Knowledge of the proper sequence of work in a remodeling project
Proper knowledge and ability to work with lighting and electrical units
Must be team-oriented, dependable, resourceful, flexible and results-driven
Great organizational skills and able to properly prioritize tasks
Ability to communicate effectively and have great people skills
