Hickory Hill Academy is Hiring a Preschool Teacher Near Madison, WI

Hickory Hill Academy is seeking warm, experienced, qualified Teachers for a Preschool classroom, Applicants who enjoy being outdoors and working in a rural campus environment are invited to apply for Co-teaching positions.

Hickory Hill Academy is an independent school and traditional preschool serving children ages 12 weeks-8 th grade. Located on a 10 acre farmette, our program offers a variety of enrichment programs including science, art, physical education, music, world languages, and more. During the summer, our program serves hundreds of students for our beloved “Summer on the Farm” program. This role is responsible for coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Maintain an understanding of children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
  • Level 3 registry; or obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification; or obtain within 3 months of employment
  • Demonstrated professional demeaner with exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
  • Successful completion of state required background checks and health screening
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and successfully manage multi-tasking situations
  • Ability to work Google workspace
