Hickory Farms is seeking a highly motivated and deeply process oriented Logistics Transportation Coordinator to join our growing supply chain team. In the Transportation Logistics Coordinator role, you will manage critical shipments to support Hickory Farms production, distribution, and everything in between. You will gain invaluable experience about Hickory Farms supply chain and understand our processes from the ground up. 

Requirements

  •  Coordinate shipping and receiving functions.
  •  Coordinate most cost-effective means to ship freight within expected requirements.
  •  Develop reporting metrics to analyze carrier, customer, and budget expenses reporting metrics. 
  •  Monitor shipments in transit and maintain tracking performance spread sheets.
  •  Prepare shipping documentation such as picklists, bill of ladings, ASN paperwork to vendors.
  •  Collaborate with finance and customer service team on producing supporting documentation to mitigate deductions/chargebacks. 
  •  Develop and grow relationships with internal customers and vendors.
  •  Contribute to a logistics organization by standardizing processes and establishing SOPs.

Requirements:

• Degree in logistics preferred or equivalate work experience. 

• E2 Transportation Management System experience a plus.

• Familiar with compliance requirements for retailers. 

• Parcel management experience a plus. 

• Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Excel critical to role – advanced Excel a plus).

• Attention to detail and well organized.

• Strong time management skills.

• Communication skills (written and oral).

• Ability to work well with others.

• Works well with deadlines.

• Understanding of transportation limitations and regulations.

• Flexible schedule (may work some Saturday’s during busy Season (November/December).

• Support the Distribution Center as needed.

 Compensation offered for this role is $45,500-$65,000 per year and is based on experience, skills and qualifications.
