HiCare Pharmacy in Dayton, OH, is currently seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and will be responsible for performing technician duties, as well as occasional delivery services. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the following tasks:

• Processing medication orders and delivery receipts.
• Packaging all medication orders and ensuring they are ready for delivery.
• Updating patient health and insurance details in the computer system.
• Supporting inventory management.
• Generating and organizing daily reports.
• Assisting in coordinating daily and cycle fill workflow.
• Working closely under the guidance of a pharmacist.
• Delivering medications directly to patients.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

The following skills and qualifications are required for the Pharmacy Technician role:

• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• While possessing a Pharmacy Technician Certificate is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A clean record with no felony charges is necessary and mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
• Understanding of insurance and third-party payment systems.
• Familiarity with both brand and generic medication names.
• Capacity to comprehend and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of individuals.
