Supervisory Responsibilities - Parts Department

Job Summary:

The Automotive Parts Manager's primary duty is to oversee the parts department which orders and sells a variety of vehicle parts and accessories.

Supervisory Responsibilities - Oversees the Parts Team. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls and respond to questions and requests about parts.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure parts are available or ordered promptly when needed.
• Receive, unpack, log and store parts.
• Track inventory and input items into the company log to ensure accurate inventory counts.
• Assist customers in determining what parts they need.
• Process payments and returns when necessary.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Possess mechanical and auto parts knowledge.
• Ability to understand sales training and new product information.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Punctual, reliable and must have good communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• At least 3 years of Managerial experience.
• Parts Manager experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, pulling and lifting.
