HHI, part of ASSA ABLOY Group is Hiring a Manager, Master Data Management - Product & Material Master Near Forest, CA

Data governance is the formal orchestration of people, process, and technology to enable the organization to leverage data as an enterprise asset. This individual will be responsible for defining a set of data standards and processes to ensure the business ends up with and maintains the correct data for transaction processing and reporting. The Global MDM domain leader will manage resourcing and oversee activities of the data steward team. They will provide domain expertise specifically for the Product & Material Master. This position will be responsible for working with the organization to define & develop data taxonomies, policies, processes, and data classifications with the business. They will ensure ownership lives within the functions and define the security and validation rules that enable the governance processes. The domain leader also helps the data steward population to interpret policies created by the MDM Council with the goal of establishing clarity and quality in policy enactment. This position will represent their cross-functional peers and stewards on the data and analytics governance board.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

· (40%) Lead the implementation of and provide support for key global MDM project initiatives, including data quality audits, the development of data policies or refinement of policies/processes.

· (30%) Primary point of contact & business leader for the global data steward team; Provides MDM related clarifications and expertise for global business users.

· (10%) Collaborate with Governance Council members to understand policy/process requirements; Develop/present policy proposals to the governance body in collaboration with the Global MDM Leader

· (10%) Develop/execute MDM data quality reporting and MDM training in the respective domain; Monitor the state of data as it pertains to their scope and the business outcomes, they and their business units/departments are aligned to.

· (10%) Manages and provides work direction for data steward resources.

· Define MDM request service levels.

· Oversee configuration of business rules in MDM tool to validate data based on business criteria.

· Oversee execution of regular and priority MDM requests

· Collaborate and consolidate the needs of the business, data, and analytics governance board members to receive and understand policy directives.

· Drives continuous process improvement for Product & Material Master data structure and process.

Education and Experience Profile

· Bachelor’s degree in information management, computer/information science, or other quantitative discipline with a focus on data usage and critical thinking, or related discipline preferable

· 6 years prior experience in data management disciplines and/or MDM tool applications support

· Experience working with Product & Material Master data as it relates to a CPG company with a manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience.

· Has good working knowledge and basic understanding of how Product & Material Master data is used to drive insights & analytics, product development and lifecycle decision making, and its effects on the manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

· SAP systems experience, specific to Product & Material Master

· Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas:

o Data Governance

o Master Data Management

o Data Quality

o Metadata Management

o Data Architecture and Modeling

· Solid project management skills to guide point-in-time and ongoing business transformation initiatives.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail.

· Understanding of how data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business process or business objectives.

· Knowledge of key database concepts, data models, relationships between different types of data

· Awareness of the security, privacy, ethics, and quality requirements for critical data entities

Work Environment:

· Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

· Hybrid work in office 3 days/week.

Pay Range: $108,074 to $158,508.

This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
