Overview

Kids Care, our region's pediatric and neonatal transport team, consists of highly trained RN's and RT's that specialize in transporting critical neonatal and pediatric patients. This position represents patient care directed toward the stabilization and safe transport of critical pediatric/neonatal patients to Huntsville Hospital Women and Children’s. Patient care is also given in clinical areas throughout the hospital such as the Pediatric ICU or Neonatal ICU.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Experience:

Minimum 2 years experience required in Pediatric ER, Pediatric ICU or Neonatal ICU.

License, Certification and/or Registration:

Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required.

Certification of BLS required at time of hire.

PALS, ACLS, and NRP required within six months of hire.

Additional Skills/ Abilities:Must be able to work with a high level of autonomy and have excellent communication skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and perform well in stressful situations. Must have excellent assessment skills and effectively troubleshoot any problems that arise.
