Acts as collaborative member of the Comp1One team in providing continuity and quality patient care. Assesses and provides appropriate intervention/assistance for the problems that injured workers, employers, and insurance clients experience related to the workers’ compensation injury. Also provides monitoring, counseling, and supportive functions as needed to assist the Field Case Management team under the direction of the Comp1One Department Manager. Also acts as lead person to assist in the overall Medical management objectives of the Comp1One program, including processing of reports, computer records and invoicing as needed.
Education/Licensure/Certifications
High School graduate or GED required.
Graduate of accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program preferred.
Completion of Certified Medical Assistant program preferred.
College degree preferred.
Experience
Experience required in workers’ compensation injury management, including case coordination, scheduling, referrals, etc.
Experience working directly with case managers, workers’ compensation insurance, or in industrial settings/employers a plus.
Will consider LPN with current license or equivalent in experience.
Additional Skills/Abilities
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
Must be proficient in use of computer, to include word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications and have the ability to work successfully with computer programs designed for CompOne.
Must have knowledge of proper business communication fundamentals.
Bilingual preferred
