Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Horticulturist to join our team. As a Horticulturist, you will be responsible for helping customers answer any questions pertaining to maintaining and caring for plants, gardens, and landscapes. You will utilize your knowledge of horticulture practices to ensure the health and beauty of our indoor & outdoor spaces.
Duties:
- Perform groundskeeping duties such as stocking & cleaning
- Maintain and shelves on products to be presentable
- Educate & help customers with all gardening needs
- Educate customers on irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
- Design and implement plans for various indoor & outdoor gardening spaces
- Collaborate with other team members to execute gardening projects
- Assist with farm-related information as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in horticulture or a related field
- Knowledge of plant species, growing techniques, and landscape maintenance
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in horticulture
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify plant health issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Degree or certification in horticulture is preferred but not required
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required
