The Plant Controller plays a key leadership role in the 1,000 employee plant. Partners with the general manager to improve the financial performance of the operation, ensures compliance with regulations / accounting practices, and delivers insightful / accurate analysis to the Corporate accounting team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze information and identify areas for improved performance in all areas of the plant
• Build the plant budget
• Make projections and forecasts
• Implement expense controls
• Review general ledger reconciliations
• Lead the month end closing process
• Lead and direct the plant accountant and buyer

Qualifications

A strong candidate with 5-7 years experience for this role has excellent English communication skills, a bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance, and history of increasing responsible financial accounting roles in a manufacturing plant environment. CPA certification is preferred.
