Heyl Homes is Austin's leader in the development and construction of Luxury Spec Homes. We build stunningly appointed homes available for sale in golf- and resort-communities. We are pointedly different from custom home builders as we do not have custom clients. Our "buyers" go under contract during construction and purchase the home upon completion. Selections are pre-made by Heyl Homes and change orders are not allowed. A homebuilder working at Heyl Homes will have minimal contact with buyers during the construction process.

Heyl Homes is seeking a Project Manager / Homebuilder who will be responsible for working with the Construction Manager to coordinate and manage the construction process for assigned luxury custom homes. He/She will ensure timely completion while meeting financial, quality, and safety requirements. This position requires both onsite supervision as well as office work in order to effectively manage the projects. The Homebuilder responsibilities span a broad spectrum to include project planning/scheduling, subcontractor supervision and management, cost management, and quality assurance. Heyl Homes builds homes available for sale and our Homebuilders do not work directly with custom homeowners as is typical in the luxury home industry but instead build our homes in an organized and planned manner. Project management and strong communication skills are critical.

Bachelor’s degree Required.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Financial field preferred.

Ideal candidate has strong communication skills both oral and written as well as strong organization skills. Daily in person communication and frequent confrontation with vendors and subcontracts is a major part of the job. It is essential that the Homebuilder be able and eager to confront vendors and contractors as issues arise.

Must be able to quickly learn to read, understand and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules. Proficiency in all Office Applications (Google, Microsoft) as well as savvy computer skills are necessary. Must understand the need to be flexible and re-prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines as conditions change.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.

The ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $80,001.00 per year
