Heuser & Heuser is Hiring a Bilingual Personal Injury Attorney Near Colorado, CO

Are you a successful and knowledgeable personal injury attorney looking to work alongside an established team of high-performing professionals? If so, we’d like to connect. Our firm is looking for an applicant who can manage case files from start to finish and help our clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. We need someone with excellent credentials, a real passion for helping people, and a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation and trial case experience. $75,000 yearly bonus

Responsibilities:
  • Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system
  • Serve as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and litigation
  • Modify, review, and draft demand letters, pleadings, claims, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
  • Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
  • Initial Client Meetings: Assist with initial meetings with new clients, gather relevant information, and empathetically listen to clients’ stories and concerns
  • Case Evaluation: Work with senior attorneys to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of personal injury cases, including assessing liability, damages, and potential legal theories
  • Legal Research: Conduct research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support the development of legal strategies
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on their cases, address inquiries, and offer support during their recovery
  • Demand Packages: Review demand letters and negotiate with insurance companies to seek favorable settlements for clients
  • Collaboration: Work closely with experienced attorneys to learn and develop your legal skills and contribute to the overall success of the firm
  • Team Leadership: Take charge of leading and mentoring a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Provide guidance, training, and feedback to enhance the skills and performance of team members
Qualifications:
  • State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
  • Knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vital
  • Computer proficiency is essential
  • 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas is needed
  • A bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
  • A recent law school graduate or waiting on bar results
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado or willing to become licensed to practice law in Colorado
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Empathy & client-centered approach to legal practice
