You have a proven track record of delivering high quality software in a start-up or high growth company. You have a solid understanding of how video processes work from ingestion through transcoding of content to enable the viewing of video on our dashboard. You have an obsession for customers, and spend time understanding their needs to effectively solve for them. You know how to work cross functionally to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders, and you have a track record of success.What Excites You:Working with and mutually learning from an extremely high caliber engineering teamOwnership and delivery of projects, including:Building out and maturing our video processing pipeline on our IoT platformBuilding tools that analyze the performance of our video functionality, then collaborating with the team to design and develop tools that improve that performanceWriting clean code that works and ships often to productionLearning about customer problems and directly solving them with your workDesigning and implementing video pipelines for embedded systems that scaleOperating with autonomy and navigating ambiguity in a fast paced environmentWorking cross-functionally across the entire company to deliver a testing plan that achieves the companys current and future goalsWhat Gets Our Attention:7 years of experience in professional software engineering roles3 years of experience with GStreamer or FFmpegExperience with streaming technologies such as WebRTC, HLS, RTSP and codecs (h.264, h.265, vp8, vp9 etc)Built and tuned applications with high scale and performance requirementsExperience with Rust & GoPrevious experience in Linux environmentsProven ability in building and deploying containerized applicationsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think creativelyExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a teamCandidates residing in the SFO Bay or Seattle areas, open to working a hybrid modelWhats In It For You:Annual Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000.Offered salary will be based on the offered candidates demonstrated attributes and competencies related to the role, as well as the offered candidates geographical location within the United States.
