This role has the primary responsibility to receive, store, rotate and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

Hours : A general work week will be Friday - Sunday from 3 : 30pm to 3 : 30am; additional hours may be required due to business demands.

Summary

Responsible for maintaining the daily flow of product and materials related to the logistical operations of the North East Warehouse.

This includes working with various internal departments such as Supply Chain, National Sales, D-V-I, Warehouse, and Production, as well as external customers, to support the timely arrival and delivery of inbound and outbound shipments.

The incumbent for this position should have knowledge of the Herrs warehouse operation with an understanding of large scale logistics operations.

They must be detailed oriented and effective in multi-tasking in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment.

This position will be housed at the North East Warehouse. The work environment is industrial, and does not include an office setting, however computer skills are necessary.

Dress code requirements include wearing a uniform, personnel protective equipment, and slip resistant shoes. This position will not contain flex hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Point of contact for all logistical inquiries pertaining to received and outgoing shipments; transportation schedules; and inventory levels.
• Responsible for overseeing all WMS operations.
• Responsible for reserving and releasing orders, inventory adjustments / corrections, stocktaking procedures.
• Ensures all WMS functions (receiving, put away, picking) are being followed according to the established SOPs.
• Verify accuracy of transportation bills (Bills of Lading); manifests; labels; and additional paperwork prior to shipping or receiving.
• Daily communication with Nottingham and North East Warehouse personnel to ensure proper coordination of outbound shipments.
• Maintain the CHEP pallet refundable exchange process. This involves keeping track of all loads that leave on CHEP pallets.
• Schedule appointments with carriers / brokers for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Point of contact for external transportation carriers, including the assignment of loads and bay doors.
• Assist on warehouse floor as needed
• Involves driving a forklift, loading trailers, picking orders to palletize, stacking boxes, wrapping pallets and working with direct ship programs
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area by performing general housekeeping, cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the entire work area and managing stock levels of office and cleaning supplies.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner by following all safety guidelines as described in the safety code of conduct. Attend and participate in all safety meetings and be committed to working safely.
• Must wear the proper personal protective equipment for performing each duty.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This may require leading up to / or more than 4 employees, and any additional temporary personnel in the North East Warehouse.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include relieving breaks, managing product flow and equipment operation, interacting with shift management and ensuring department efficiencies.

Additional responsibilities include directing work; addressing complaints and making manager aware of any personnel issues.
