To maintain a friendly and welcoming environment whereby our guests will be engaged with a unique experience, learn about wine, sample our products, and make purchases.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet every guest who walks in the door and describe our offerings
• Seat dine-in guests
• Take Reservations
• Learn about and be able to competently present (not sell) our wines to guests
• Conduct wine tastings once knowledgeable of our products
• Conduct sales transactions at the register
• Package wine and gifts
• Maintain a clean environment in the tasting room
• Sweep floors, wash floors, dust, clean tables
• Clean bathrooms
• Restock shelves
• Wash and polish glassware, assist with back-of-house dishes as needed
• Assist with bottling and other wine production tasks when available
• Maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere in the tasting room at all times
• Assist with the opening and closing of the tasting room
• Other duties as assigned
• Dress professionally (business casual)

Hermit Woods Winery makes available for sale over 40 brands of wine. We serve over 14,000 people per year in our tasting room and restaurant, and it is each one of our responsibilities to ensure that every guest leaves having had a positive experience and when possible, learned something about wine. The customer is always right (even when they are not).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
