To maintain a friendly and welcoming environment whereby our guests will be engaged with a unique experience, learn about wine, sample our products, dine on our deck and loft, experience live music and make purchases.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take orders for dine-in guests, and serve food and drinks.
• Learn about and be able to competently present (not sell) our wines to guests.
• Wash and polish glassware, assist with back-of-house dishes as needed
• Assist with opening and closing
• Greet every guest who walks in the door and describe our offerings
• Act as host for dine-in guests
• Conduct wine tastings once knowledgeable of our products
• Conduct sales transactions at the register
• Package wine and gifts
• Maintain a clean environment in the tasting room and restaurant
• Sweep floors, wash floors, dust, clean tables
• Clean bathrooms
• Restock shelves
• Assist with bottling and other wine production tasks when available
• Maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere at all times
• Other duties as assigned
• Dress professionally (Black pants and Business-provided shirt)
• Have fun

Hermit Woods Winery makes available for sale over 40 brands of wine. We serve over 25,000 people per year in our tasting room and restaurant, and it is each one of our responsibilities to ensure that every guest leaves having had a positive experience and when possible, learned something about wine.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
