Hermes Abrasives is looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to assist in the day-to-day activities involving maintenance of equipment, machinery, building/facility, production lines, groundskeeping, security and overall facility appearance.
Essential functions

· Specialize in troubleshooting and repairing electronic/ mechanically controlled machinery and industrial equipment, as well as general plant facility/ building maintenance.
· AC/ DC servo/ frequency drives, microprocessors, and peripherals (installations, repairs & upgrades of such)
· PLC/ electrically controlled, coating machines, ovens, hydraulic and pneumatic presses, cutters, conveyors, packaging equipment, printing machines and a wide variety of other industrial manufacturing equipment
· Analog and digital controlled temperature, pressure, and flow controllers (including calibration of such equipment according to ISO 9001 standards)
· Researching, engineering, manufacturing and installing upgrades, new machinery and retrofits as needed for production equipment demands
· Implementing and performing preventive maintenance procedures on such equipment (ranging from small manufacturing machinery to building electrical supply switchgear)
Competencies
· Read and comprehend machine drawings, electrical schematics and symbols to troubleshoot plant equipment
· Motivated, team player and takes direction well
· Responsible with tools, both personal and shop equipment
· Basic mechanical knowledge for repairing/replacing other machine equipment as needed
· Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining procedures
· Communicate effectively within department and throughout all departments
· Ability to train others on equipment usage

Required education and experience
· HS Diploma or GED
· Associates in Electronics Technology/ Industrial Maintenance or related field of training
Preferred education and experience
· 5-10 years experience in industrial work environment
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
Valid Driver’s License
US Citizen or able to work legally in the US
